Posh identify new arrivals

Peterborough United manager Darren Ferguson hopes to bring two new players to London Road in the January transfer window as well as finalising a permanent deal for loanee Gaby Zakuani.

Ferguson has been in talks with chairman Darragh MacAnthony and director of football Barry Fry about potential new recruits.

The Posh boss told the Evening Telegraph: "It was a long day, but a worthwhile one. We identified a couple of players we may go after in January, but the meeting wasn't just about transfers.

"Obviously we're trying to sort Gaby Zakuani out on a permanent basis as well."

Twenty-two-year-old Zakuani has played nine games for United this season following his loan arrival from Fulham in August.
