Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony is confident of finally completing his takeover of the club before the start of the new season.
The Irish businessman had agreed to purchase Barry Fry's controlling interest in Posh back in September.
However, despite investing £5million in the club, MacAnthony's takeover has been held up while landlords at London Road, Peterborough United Holding Limited, awaited planning permission for a proposed new ground.
"The takeover is happening any day now, we have found a way to do it and it's going to happen very soon - it's just a matter of paperwork," he told the club's official website.
"We were hoping to get it done in the coming week but it will now be a couple of weeks.
"I've put a lot of money into this club and we always knew it was going to happen."
