Posh clinch Zakuani loan deal

Peterborough United boss Darren Ferguson believes Gaby Zakuani will be an excellent addition to his squad after the Fulham defender signed a three-month loan deal with The Posh.

The 22-year-old agreed the switch last month but has now teamed up with the rest of Ferguson's squad after returning from international duty with DR Congo.

Ferguson told the club's official website: "Gabriel's a big, powerful defender who played 20 games in the Championship last season and will certainly bring something different.

"It gives us good options at the heart of the defence and I'm delighted to have him on board."

Zakuani joined the Cottagers from Leyton Orient just over two years ago, but spent most of last season on loan at Stoke City.
