Posh bring in Taylor
06 Nov 2006 - 12:09:39
Peterborough United have named the former Leyton Orient manager Tommy Taylor as their new first-team coach.
Taylor, who has also managed King's Lynn, Darlington and Cambridge United, will help Keith Alexander as the Posh boss tries to guide the club to promotion from League Two.
Director of football Barry Fry told the club's official website: "Keith identified that he needed a chief scout and, now that we've got money to invest in players, it was vitally important to have a chief scout.
"He moved Gary Simpson to do that job and Keith has been working by himself for the last few weeks.
"He spoke to several people and appointed Tommy Taylor as his first-team coach. He has been a very successful manager in the Football League and at non-league level and leaves King's Lynn top of the table, in the FA Cup and the FA Trophy."
