Peterborough United boss Darren Ferguson has admitted an injury to Kieran Charnock has left him considering the possibility of drafting in some defensive cover.
Charnock picked up a hamstring injury during Tuesday's 3-1 Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat at MK Dons.
"I'm really disappointed because I don't think we should have lost," said Ferguson.
"And then we've got the double blow of losing Charnock, who felt his hamstring go. It's a bad one.
"I didn't want to play him but with Craig Morgan going to Wales I had to.
"Now we've only got one fit centre-back, so I need to bring someone in, or maybe look at the possibility of bringing Guy Branston back from his loan (at Rochdale)."
