Tom came through the clubs youth system and made his debut on Boxing Day 2003 in a home defeat by Carlisle United . He has a left foot that can deliver inch perfect crosses and is the son of former Shakers legend Keith Kennedy who played most of his 475 games wearing, ironically enough, the number 3 shirt . Tom was voted the joint `players` Player of the Year last season with his team mate Dave Flitcroft , and is the only player to complete every game last season .
