Owls swoop for loan pair

Sheffield Wednesday have made a double loan capture by snapping up Coventry City winger Wayne Andrews and Woking goalkeeper Shwan Jalal.
Andrews, 29, has been on the fringes of the Sky Blues first-team this season and has made just three appearances.
The experienced winger played against the Owls in last weekend's 3-1 victory and has been brought in to cover the loss of Wade Small, who starts a three-match ban following his dismissal at the Ricoh Arena.
"Wade will be a big loss to us, but I think we've got a replacement who is almost like for like," Owls boss Brian Laws told the club's official website.
"He's got great experience in this division, great pace, and is a player who I'm sure can cause problems for any team."
Meanwhile, Jalal has been given the opportunity to win a long-term deal at Hillsborough after arriving on loan.
"He is a goalkeeper we've been notified about on the scouting network, who has been admired by a lot of Championship clubs," continued Laws.
"If Billy Mercer, our goalkeeping coach, can put him through the ropes and find out his strengths and weaknesses, and if he can handle the step up, we could have a player on our hands."
