No Posh return for Williams

Peterborough United have failed with a bid to bring Tom Williams back to London Road.

The 27-year-old spent 12 months with The Posh before moving to Birmingham City in a £350,000 deal in March 2002.

He also returned to the club on loan in the 2003-04 campaign but has been with Wycombe Wanderers this season following his summer switch from Swansea City.

The proposed loan move fell though when Wycombe insisted on certain stipulations, which were not acceptable to Posh boss Darren Ferguson.
