Peterborough United striker Aaron McLean is set to make his return from a dislocated elbow in Saturday's League One trip to Carlisle United.
Last year's player of the season has missed the last five games after picking up the injury during Posh's 5-4 win over Bristol Rovers on September 6.
But manager Darren Ferguson has confirmed the striker will be back in the first-team squad at the weekend, should he come through a reserve game against Watford this week unscathed.
"He will play some part against Watford and providing he comes through that he will be involved at Carlisle," he told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph.
"Certainly his return to fitness gives me a real dilemma as we have continued to play well going forward in his absence. We have looked an attacking threat in every match that we've played recently.
"We have six games in 21 days starting on Saturday, so I will probably need everyone in the squad."
