McCann hopes to start

Peterborough captain Grant McCann is pushing for a recall against Tranmere.The Northern Ireland midfielder came off the bench to create both goals in the 2-0 win at Yeovil on Tuesday night and could come into the starting XI.Grant Basey looks to have cemented his hold on the left-back place after he capped an impressive debut with a goal at Huish Park.Central defender Gabriel Zakuani came through the 90 minutes unscathed on his return from a shoulder injury and will again partner Ryan Bennett.Craig Mackail-Smith will lead the line once more after the striker took his tally to 22 for the season with his sixth goal in six games at Yeovil.Manager Darren Ferguson will be without Danny Mills and Romone McCrae after they joined Blue Square Bet Premier side Kettering on loan until the end of the season while midfielder Lee Frecklington is set for an operation on his hernia which will keep him out for another month.
