Lee worry for Gannon

Published: 08 Feb 2010 - 14:17:40

Peterborough utility man Charlie Lee is a fitness doubt ahead of the trip to Cardiff.Lee - who can play anywhere along the back four - started in central midfield in the 1-0 win over QPR on Saturday as new manager Jim Gannon changed the system to 3-5-2 but came off with a dead leg at half-time.Gannon is hopeful that the former Tottenham trainee will still be fit to start in Wales but Josh Simpson and Lee Frecklington are both options to replace him if rgequired.Transfer-listed striker Aaron Mclean was recalled to the starting line-up on Saturday and responded with the winner so should continue, while captain George Boyd will again be used in a free role behind Mclean and Craig Mackail-Smith.Defender Gabriel Zakuani remains the only other absentee for Gannon as he recovers from a groin injury.
