Lee concern for Posh boss Gannon
Published: 08 Feb 2010 - 12:06:00
Lee - who can play anywhere along the back four - started in central midfield in the 1-0 win over QPR on Saturday as new manager Jim Gannon changed the system to 3-5-2 but came off with a dead leg at half-time. Gannon is hopeful that the former Tottenham trainee will still be fit to start in Wales but Josh Simpson and Lee Frecklington are both options to replace him if rgequired. Transfer-listed striker Aaron Mclean was recalled to the starting line-up on Saturday and responded with the winner so should continue, while captain George Boyd will again be used in a free role behind Mclean and Craig Mackail-Smith. Defender Gabriel Zakuani remains the only other absentee for Gannon as he recovers from a groin injury.
