Peterborough United midfielder Dean Keates has left the club after having the remainder of his London Road contract cancelled.
The 31-year-old helped the Posh gain two successive promotions, having joined the club in the summer of 2007, scoring 11 goals in 96 appearances in all competitions.
Director of Football Barry Fry told the club's official website: "Dean has played a massive role in our recent successes and has given tremendous service to this football club.
"He has always given 100 per cent in his performances and I am sure that the supporters recognise his achievements at the football club.
"On behalf of the club, I would like to thank Dean for his efforts and wish him the very best in the future."
