Johnson salutes `fantastic' Posh

Peterborough manager Gary Johnson hailed his side's 1-0 victory over Carlisle at Brunton Park as "a fantastic performance".Carlisle were unable to get into the game and it was Peterborough who grabbed a 32nd-minute lead when Aaron Davies won possession just inside the Carlisle half and his through-ball enabled Craig Mackail-Smith to race clear and coolly slip the ball past goalkeeper Adam Collin from just inside the box.Johnson said: "We tweaked things a bit to give Carlisle something to think about and it worked well in the first half."It was a good response and also a good performance. We had numerous opportunities, but we needed another goal because we knew a team at home will throw lots of bodies forward."Carlisle had a couple of headers, but we had our chances at the other end. We worked at getting the team a bit more compact than it has been. I think everybody played their part."Carlisle are not up there for nothing. They have some decent players and we had to compete with that. But apart from the last 10 minutes when they threw bodies forward I felt we generally dictated."
