Lincoln City midfielder Peter Gain is on the verge of signing for League Two newcomers Peterborough United.
The 28-year-old is set to sign a three-year deal with The Posh.
Boston United were also interested in the former Tottenham trainee who has played more than 200 League games for the Red Imps.
Director of football Barry Fry told Peterborough's official website: "Peter was the first player that Mark Wright identified when he came into the club and we are delighted to sign such a good player.
"Peter helped Lincoln get into the play-offs in the last three years and played in the League Two play-off final against Southend in May.
"He is widely respected and is arguably the best left-sided player in League Two. We have been after him for a long time and I am delighted that he has agreed to sign a three-year deal."
