Gain ends Posh stay

Peterborough United midfielder Peter Gain is expected to sign for another League Two club after having his London Road contract cancelled by mutual consent.

The 31-year-old has held talks with Dagenham & Redbridge and Mansfield Town recently.

Gain moved to The Posh from Lincoln City in the summer of 2005 and found the net nine times in 80 appearances for the club.

However, he failed to feature in Darren Ferguson's first-team squad this term.
