Ferguson enjoys Posh rise

Manager Darren Ferguson was full of praise for his side after they secured promotion from League Two with a 1-0 victory at Hereford United.

A Dean Keates strike was enough to send the Posh up and Ferguson feels that they fully deserve the chance to move up to a higher level.

He told Sky Sports News: "We've got over the finishing line. We could have done it last week, but we've done it today and it's a great feeling.

"It's just complete elation. It's been a long season and we just wanted to get over the finishing line.

"We had to keep the players really relaxed this week and all credit to them, they've put in another really good performance.

"I don't think anyone can deny we've definitely deserved to get promoted."
