Ferguson backs Posh for Prem

Peterborough United manager Darren Ferguson insists his side can launch a promotion challenge despite a modest start to life as a Championship side. Despite competing well thus far after winning promotion to England's second tier, the Posh are without a victory in the league this season. But Ferguson maintains the belief that a run of victories is not out of the question from his side. "There will be a lot of draws in the Championship this season so any team that can string a few wins together will climb the table quickly," he said. "We have shown in the past we are a team capable of doing just that. Once we get our first win I am sure we will be and up running. "It might seem a little strange right now to talk about challenging at the top but we have a history of getting better as a season progresses. "The lads have been flying in training this week. They look fresh and lively and I'm confident of a good performance at QPR especially as we now have a fully fit squad."
