Fergie reveals Hughes wish

Peterborough United manager Darren Ferguson is keen to make Jeff Hughes' loan stay at London Road into a permanent move.

Hughes, 22, joined Posh from Crystal Palace last month and has impressed Ferguson despite starting all five of his games on the substitute's bench.

"I had a meeting with the chairman Darragh MacAnthony this week and we did speak about transfer targets and I would love to get Jeff here permanently," Ferguson told the club's official website.

"He has done well for us during the time he has been here and it would be great to have him here.

"We are looking at one or two targets but that is all it will be."
