Fergie hails Posh efforts
05 Sep 2007 - 11:58:46
Peterborough United manager Darren Ferguson praised the commitment of his side after their Johnstone's Paint Trophy success over Nottingham Forest.
The Posh twice came from behind to take the scalp of the League One club at the City Ground with George Boyd scoring the winner 18 minutes from full-time.
"I told the lads at half-time just to keep their composure, maintain their concentration and up the tempo," Ferguson told the club's official website.
"I knew if we did all of these we definitely had a chance to get something out of the game.
"The three minutes with three goals drove me mental, but the commitment was fantastic from the lads and they really proved that they were worthy of the win.
"I knew that if we could keep playing the way we were, we could go on and get the win."
