Arber completes Latics switch

Defender Mark Arber has completed his move from Peterborough United to Oldham Athletic.

The 26-year-old has penned a two-year contract at Boundary Park after The Posh refused to meet his pay demands for a new deal.

Posh boss Barry Fry told the club's official website: "We had a board meeting on Friday morning and it was voted unanimously by the directors that we would try and keep Mark. However, we were not willing to break our wage structure.

"I told him we couldn't match what Oldham were offering or get anywhere near it, but the board tried very hard to improve the offer, but we weren't prepared to break our wage structure for him."

Arber joined Peterborough in December 2002 from Barnet and made 75 appearances for the London Road outfit.
