London Road will have a new stand in place by mid-2013 as part of a stadium revamp, Peterborough City Council has revealed. Peterborough's stadium was bought by the council in an £8million deal in January, with plans now underfoot to begin the first phase of the venue's redevelopment. The Moy's End of the ground will be demolished at the end of the current campaign, with a new building and stand to be constructed in its place by the end of the 2012-13 season. "I would like to thank the City Council and its business partners for all the help and support they have given in making this phase one project happen," chief executive Bob Symns told the club's official website. "The football club will be involved with the new partners in an ongoing capacity that will be of benefit to the community and hopefully our supporters as we move forward."
