Snubbed Posh look elsewhere

The Championship newcomers had offered £200,000 to sign Griffiths from cash-strapped Livingston, but the teenage forward is expected to join Scottish First Division side Dundee for a lower fee, leaving Posh director of football Barry Fry disappointed. "I don't mind admitting we bid £200,000, which is a lot of money for a teenager," Fry told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph. "Both him and his agent told me he was desperate to come down to England but now we find that he is moving to another club in Scotland for half of that which makes a mockery of things. "I've heard his club Livingston are so skint that the electricity has been switched off, yet they sell him for that money." With a move for Griffiths having fallen through, Fry confirmed Peterborough have quickly turned their attention to another target. He added: "We have already gone elsewhere and have made a bid for another striker. He is a Football League player and it will be a permanent deal if it happens."
