Robins delighted by Tykes spirit

Robins' players did against Darren Ferguson's side what they had failed to do against his father, Sir Alex, and his Manchester United team in the Carling Cup earlier in the week.[LNB]Barnsley earned plenty of praise in Carling Cup defeat to Manchester United in midweek and the plaudits were again being dished out by the manager after this crucial Championship success.[LNB]He was seriously impressed with the way his side recovered from going behind to a George Boyd penalty to claim maximum points.[LNB]Striking stars Daniel Bogdanovic and Jon Macken did the trick for the Tykes and sent Posh plunging back into the relegation zone in the process.[LNB]Robins said: "We had one point on the board when I came to the club. The players have shown how capable they are to turn it around.[LNB]"We put in a great performance against Manchester United in the week and got no reward for it, but we got exactly what we deserved from this game.[LNB]"It was being billed as a six-pointer even this early in the season and it is crucial to pick up plenty of points away from home.[LNB]"This was a really vital victory given the good results a lot of other teams down at the bottom of the table enjoyed."[LNB]Everything was going to plan for the home side when Boyd made no mistake to register his 10th goal of the season in the 24th minute.[LNB]Referee Carl Boyesen pointed to the spot after Darren Moore had sent Gaby Zakuani tumbling at a corner.[LNB]Little over a minute after hitting the front Posh were pegged back when Bogdanovic was left with the simple task of nodding home a Macken delivery at the back post.[LNB]And the Tykes completed the turnaround six minutes before the break after an error from Posh defender Craig Morgan gifted them a route to goal.[LNB]His misplaced past was seized upon by Anderson De Silva who fed Macken to beat debutant Posh keeper Ben Amos with a fierce angled shot.[LNB]It was the visitors that continued to pose the biggest threat in a low-key second period when only the flag of an assistant referee prevented Macken from adding some extra gloss to the scoreline.[LNB]Posh manager Ferguson said: "I thought we started brightly and got ourselves in the front only to shoot ourselves in the foot by conceding two sloppy goals.[LNB]"It was vital that we had Barnsley chasing the games but poor concentration levels left us in that position and we are not learning our lesson.[LNB]"But we have to start doing that quickly otherwise we are going to be in for one hell of a fight.[LNB]"We still have 93 points to play for and I firmly believe we will keep ourselves in this division."[LNB][LNB]
