Posh hot-shot calls for league push

Peterborough striker Craig Mackail-Smith has targeted the next three games for the club to get their league campaign back on track. The Posh have been inconsistent so far this season in pursuit of an immediate return to the Championship and have won only one of their last six League One games, leaving them 10th in the table and three points off the play-offs. However, they put in an improved performance in beating Bury in the FA Cup on Saturday and will look to take that into the league. United`s next three fixtures are against Yeovil and Dagenham, who at the moment find themselves in the relegation zone, and 15th-placed Rochdale - games from which they should be picking up points if they are to be serious promotion contenders. Mackail-Smith told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph: "We need to get going again in the league and our next three games against Yeovil, Rochdale and Dagenham give us that opportunity. "We have had a bad run but we played some good stuff at Bury and the lads defended superbly when we were under pressure in the second half, so maybe we've turned a corner."
