Rowe concern for Posh

Tommy Rowe is an injury concern for Peterborough as Darren Ferguson's side look to make a return to winning ways against Tranmere at London Road.

Skipper Rowe was forced off with a thigh problem late in the first half of the home FA Cup defeat to Kidderminster and the midfielder will be checked on ahead of Saturday.

Striker Nicky Ajose comes back into the reckoning after being ineligible for Tuesday night's third-round replay but fellow forward Lee Tomlin remains unavailable as he completes a two-match suspension.

Posh have lost their last four Sky Bet League One games and slipped out of the play-off places on Tuesday night after Walsall beat Oldham.

Defender Danny Holmes' return to the Tranmere team may not come in time for the trip.

Holmes was back on the bench last week following a groin problem but a back injury sustained in a reserve-team game in midweek means he could occupy the sidelines for a little while longer yet.

Captain James Wallace will miss out again as the midfielder serves the second game of a three-match suspension while the London Road clash could come too soon for experienced defender Ian Goodison, who is back in full training following a thigh strain.

Winger Abdulai Baggie is fit again while fellow ankle-injury victim Akpo Sodje, who has been used merely as a bit-part player this term, is nearing a return.
