Peterborough defender Jack Baldwin suspended for EFL Cup tie against Swansea

Peterborough defender Jack Baldwin will miss the visit of Swansea in the EFL Cup through suspension.

Baldwin received a second yellow card and was subsequently sent off at Oxford on Saturday after conceding the injury-time penalty which condemned Posh to defeat and he will serve a one-match ban.

Ryan Tafazolli, who has not played since the opening weekend of the season, remains a doubt with a hamstring problem.

Midfielder Brad Inman and striker Lee Angol are definitely out as they continue to recover from ankle injuries.

Swansea defender Neil Taylor will be involved for the first time this season.

Taylor had an extended break after Wales reached the semi-finals of Euro 2016 last month and will feature in a much-changed side, which could see Ki Sung-yueng, Jefferson Montero, Angel Rangel and Nathan Dyer make their first starts of the season.

Former Ajax defender Mike van der Hoorn is in line for his debut, but striker Borja Baston misses out again as Swansea's record signing nurses a leg injury.

Manager Francesco Guidolin, who will take charge of his first cup tie for Swansea, wants to savour the magic of knockout football again after being a winner in his native Italy.

Guidolin guided Vicenza to Coppa Italia glory in 1997 - the provincial club's first-ever domestic trophy.

"We won the Coppa Italia and for a little team this is fantastic," he said.

"It is not exactly the same as Leicester (winning the Premier League), but after us no little team has won the Coppa Italia. It has always been a strong team like Milan, Napoli, Juventus, Inter and Roma.

"This was one of my best moments, but fortunately I've had a lot of good moments in my career in Italy."
