Tomlin back for Posh

Lee Tomlin comes back into the reckoning for Peterborough when Notts County visit London Road.

Tomlin has served a two-match suspension but the form of Danny Swanson and Nicky Ajose means the forward looks likely to begin on the bench against the Magpies.

"I felt Danny Swanson was head and shoulders above anyone else on the field and it was good to see Nicky score, " said Posh boss Darren Ferguson following the 3-0 home win over Tranmere on Saturday. "Tomlin is available on Tuesday, but I am a very fair manager and I keep players in the side who do well."

Ferguson gave a long-awaited debut to goalkeeper Joe Day, who joined Peterborough from Rushden in May 2011, at the weekend and he looks set to keep his place. Day's surprise inclusion came at the expense of Bobby Olejnik who was dropped for the first time since he signed for Posh in July 2012, having made 84 consecutive appearances.

Jack Grealish is an injury concern for Notts County.

Grealish, a recent target for Posh before extending his loan spell at Meadow Lane until the end of the season, was forced off with a dead leg during the first half of the 1-0 win at Stevenage.

He will be checked over by the Magpies' medical team but boss Shaun Derry is hopeful the 18-year-old Aston Villa winger will recover in time to travel to London Road.

Callum Ball replaced Grealish on Saturday and, after scoring the winning goal, will hope to make his first start for the club since prolonging his loan stay from Derby.
