Ferguson pondering options

Peterborough boss Darren Ferguson is considering making change to his starting line-up for the visit of Gillingham.

Posh have no new injury problems. Midfielders Danny Swanson, Jack Payne and Josh McQuoid were all substituted off before the hour mark against Wolves on Saturday but Ferguson insisted it was a trio of tactical switches.

Lloyd Isgrove, Nicky Ajose and Nathaniel Knight-Percival were the players introduced at Molineux, while the likes of Jack Baldwin, Kyle Vassell and Jermaine Anderson also provide Ferguson with options.

Midfielder Joe Newell comes back into the reckoning after completing a two-match suspension for the red card he received during the Johnstone's Paint Trophy triump at Wembley eight days ago.

Leon Legge is set to miss out once more for Gillingham.

The centre-half missed the dramatic 4-3 defeat to Rotherham with a hamstring problem and he is unlikely to feature in the midweek clash.

Striker Danny Kedwell (knee) is not expected to return until Easter weekend, while Chris Whelpdale is still struggling with an ankle injury.

Saturday's loss left Gillingham just five points above the relegation zone, although there are six teams between Peter Taylor's side and the bottom four.
