Ferguson to ring the changes Manager Darren Ferguson has promised changes to the Peterborough team that takes on Bristol City at London Road. Ferguson was furious with his side's defending on Saturday as Peterborough lost 5-2 at Burnley, leaving Posh rooted to the bottom of the npower Championship table following defeat in each of their five league games this season. "I can't expect my strikers to score five or six goals to win games, but they will have to if we continue to defend like this," said Ferguson. "I have some serious thinking to do now before we play Bristol City on Tuesday. I changed things around at the back [against Burnley] and I will have to change things again for Tuesday." Ferguson dropped captain and centre-half Gaby Zakuani to the substitutes' bench at Turf Moor. Kgosi Ntlhe was rested following his exertions while on international duty with South Africa and midfielder Danny Swanson missed out with a thigh injury. Full-back Ntlhe and Zakuani are expected to return to the starting XI while Swanson will also be a starter if fit. Midfielders Joe Newell and Kane Ferdinand and striker Emile Sinclair could also come into Ferguson's thinking against the Robins. Ferguson highlighted Nathaniel Mendez-Laing's performance on his debut as the only positive to take from the Burnley match and the midfielder is likely to keep his place in the side. Bristol City right-back Mark Wilson faces a race against time to prove his fitness for this bottom-of-the-table clash. The 28-year-old missed Saturday's 5-3 loss to Blackburn, which saw the Robins ship two goals in injury time, with a hamstring injury and is rated doubtful for the trip to London Road. Scotland defender Richard Foster is set to deputise again should Wilson miss out after standing in at full-back against Blackburn, with manager Derek McInnes calling on his side to tighten up the defence after conceding five goals. Paul Anderson and Steve Davies are likely to start on the bench again, while Ryan Taylor is set to continue his partnership with Jon Stead in McInnes' front line after being recalled at the weekend.
