Peterborough seek Bohemians link-up

Manager Darren Ferguson held meetings with officials of the Dublin-based club last week before watching the 2-1 defeat by Bray Wanderers. Bohemians midfielder Gary Deegan has been attracting interest from a number of English clubs but he was sent off after just 22 minutes of his chance to impress the Posh boss. Ferguson said: "Deegan is a good player and a lot of clubs are after him so I took the opportunity to have a look. "Unfortunately he only lasted 20 minutes or so, but he wasn't the main reason for the trip. "We're looking for some sort of tie-up with Bohemians so we had a couple of meetings about that before watching the match. There is a great deal of young talent in Ireland and we want to be active over there."
