No luck for Posh boss

Peterborough manager Gary Johnson felt his side deserved something from their 1-0 defeat at Tranmere. Posh were unfortunate not to grab at least a point having hit the woodwork through a George Boyd shot and seen an Aaron Mclean header tipped over by goalkeeper Joe Collister. But a debut goal from Rovers' Derby loanee Arnaud Mendy just before the break left the visitors empty-handed. Johnson said: "One lapse in concentration let them in for a vital goal and it was a frustrating day for us. We had a lot of possession but nothing went right for us. We lacked that little bit of quality in the box and fortune on the day did not favour us. "Sometimes you've got to give credit to the opposition and certainly the Tranmere central defenders were excellent on the day. "We showed plenty of quality at times but could not get the run of the ball. I am not devastated but I am disappointed we have not got at least a point. We know we have got goals in the team."
