MK Dons midfielder Peter Leven returns after suspension while defender Gary MacKenzie (ankle) could be fit despite being forced off at Colchester.Goalkeeper David Martin (ankle) remains doubtful meaning reserve Stuart Searle is on stand-by.

Striker Craig Mackail-Smith is likely to start for Peterborough despite interest from Norwich City, as a deal has not been agreed.

New signing Paul Taylor is unavailable as he not yet match fit.

MK Dons manager Karl Robinson told BBC Three Counties Radio: "It's a game I can't wait for, and although there's a rivalry I don't think there's a great nastiness to it.

"It'll be a good spectacle and I think will show how strong this league is.

"You see Sheffield Wednesday play Southampton over the weekend, and it'll be highlighted again on Monday when two really good teams go head to head."
