Mclean comes good

New Peterborough boss Jim Gannon hailed striker Aaron Mclean after he capped his recall to the starting XI with a goal in a 1-0 victory over nine-man QPR. The transfer-listed striker scored his first goal of 2010 with a smart finish at the end of a swift counter-attack, while Rangers had captain Mikele Leigertwood and defender Peter Ramage dismissed in the second half. Gannon, who replaced Mark Cooper to become Peterborough's third manager of the season on Monday, said: "Aaron justified his inclusion, not just with the goal but his overall enthusiasm. "I came into the club this week and gave everyone a clean slate and he took his chance well. "It was an easy decision for me to bring him back into the team. He has quality, he is a goalscorer and he has won us the game."
