Mackail-Smith scoops League One player of the year

Peterborough striker Craig Mackail-Smith was named npower League One player of the year at the Football League awards.

Mackail-Smith remains a transfer target for Norwich after a stellar season which has seen him score 27 goals. He beat Brighton striker Glenn Murray and Charlton's Bradley Wright-Phillips to the award.

He said: "This is my proudest moment in football.

"I have worked my way up from non-league and to be named the best player in the division with the quality of players in League One is just fantastic."
