MacAnthony: Posh not for sale

23 March 2010 15:42
MacAnthony has previously indicated that he would leave if the fans wanted him out, but he is currently working hard to ensure stability at the club and intends to be around at London Road for many years to come.[LNB]When asked if he had any plans to leave, he told Peterborough Player: "No, not at all. I've been offered money to buy the club in the past. But I love the football club, even with all the aggro this year and the nonsense that's gone on, I've still enjoyed it.[LNB]"I'm a winner. We've had a lot of success but I'm a realist as well, you take setbacks in life and you get on with them.[LNB]"At the end of the day, we've had a very poor season up until Mr (Jim) Gannon arriving, so I'm not selling the club and to be honest I've never looked into it or ventured into it, there's no need to.[LNB]"Players will come and go, owners will come and go, the fans are all that matters really because they're always the ones that are left behind. But as an owner I'll be here for a long time."[LNB][LNB]
