Johnson `let rip'

Peterborough manager Gary Johnson admitted he tore into his side at half-time as they battled back from two goals down to beat Huddersfield 4-2 at London Road. A mistake by Alex Smithies gifted Posh a lifeline just before the break but Johnson was still unhappy with their first-half performance and got the response he wanted. Johnson said: "We produced a fantastic second-half performance to come from behind and pick up a terrific win, but the catalyst was our goal at the very end of the first half. "Despite getting one back just before the break, I still let rip at the lads and had them ranting and raving back. "I knew the next goal would be crucial. If we got it, I felt it would deflate Huddersfield and we would go on to win, but 3-1 to them and it might have been too big a mountain to climb. "We needed to keep hold of the ball for longer and start to dictate the game. As soon as we managed to do that, we started to break Huddersfield down."
