Imps seal short-term deal for Howe
Howe has long been a target for the Imps boss and the deal could be extended until the end of the season.
"Everyone knows that I needed to bring in another striker and I am delighted that Rene has agreed to join us. I am looking forward to working with him," Jackson told Lincoln's official website.
"He's got a proven record at this level from his time with Rochdale and Morecambe and I hope he comes here and scores goals.
"We have been chasing him for a while and we have had to remain patient, but his arrival makes our squad bigger and stronger and opens up a number of attacking options."
