Hatters star focused on his game
The 18-year-old defender is one of the most highly-rated players in the Football League and Posh boss Darren Ferguson has revealed he has made a bid for him.
Thompson trained with Manchester United last season after catching the eye of Ferguson's father Sir Alex and, although he is not looking ahead to the future just yet, he admits the experience of testing himself at a higher level was enjoyable.
"It was amazing," he told his club's official website. "You ask anyone my age and they dream to go and train with the best players in the world and to train with them for two days was great. It was one of the best experiences in football you could get.
"I'm aware of what I see in the papers but I just want to get here, go through pre-season and work as hard as I can and get fit, concentrate on my football and just let everything else do what it wants to do."
