Fry: Posh turned down big bids

The Championship's bottom side, who recently appointed Jim Gannon as their new manager following the sacking of Mark Cooper, were desperate to hold onto the key duo as they bid to avoid relegation.[LNB]Fry told Sky Sports' website: "We didn't receive any offers for Joe Lewis, but we did turn down substantial offers for both Craig Mackail-Smith and George Boyd.[LNB]"We are delighted to keep them here because they are both key players for us and we don't want to lose important players if we are going to make a real fist of staying up this season."[LNB]Meanwhile, goalkeeping coach Barry Richardson has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal at London Road.[LNB][LNB]
