Fry hoping for windfall

Peterborough director of football Barry Fry believes the club could make as much as £4million from promotion to the Championship. Posh face MK Dons in the play-offs for a place in the final at Old Trafford and Fry is hoping the windfall will help cushion the blow of converting the Moys' End terrace to a seating area next year. Fry said: "If we go up we start with an extra £3.5 million, maybe even £4 million just from the Football League award money. "We would obviously expect higher gates as well, but we will be hit by the changes to the ground. "For example if we hosted West Ham in the Championship, their fans would want 5,000 tickets, but we could only give them 1,200 at most. "That would be a blow for us, but the work on the ground has to be done."
