Peterborough boss Darren Ferguson hailed match-winner George Boyd after seeing his side continue their bid for promotion with a 3-0 home win over Exeter.
Boyd grabbed two goals and laid on the other for Craig Mackail-Smith less than 48 hours after becoming a father for the first time.
Ferguson said: "Everyone is pleased for George with the arrival of his little girl and he certainly celebrated in some style.
"His couple of goals were really important in a tough game. He linked up well with Craig for the second of them and then returned the compliment for Craig to get our third.
"I have to be happy with a 3-0 result after a thoroughly professional and disciplined display with keeping a clean sheet especially pleasing.
"We have looked a lot more solid defensively of late and that is a real plus as the games come thick and fast, but when winning we just want them to keep coming."
