Ferguson admits Posh were lucky

Posh striker Craig Mackail-Smith scored twice to seal the win but referee Graham Salisbury ruled out an Oldham goal with the scores at 1-1 after Chris Taylor had cancelled out Mackail-Smith's opener. Ferguson admitted: "We got a lucky break near the end and I can understand why Joe (Royle) is unhappy about their disallowed goal, so things went our way. "Sometimes that happens when you are on a decent run but, at the same time, these players just keep on battling. "We have hit good form at the right time but there are still five games to play and I have challenged the lads to win as many as they can. "This one might not have been easy on the eye but the players dug in again. They keep getting the job done and I am delighted with their character."
