Duo charged by FA
Peterborough and Notts County have been charged by the Football Association following the mass confrontation at the end of their League One encounter on Tuesday.
Players and staff from both sides confronted each other on the touchline leading to a melee at the entrance of the tunnel after County's 3-2 win.
Tensions had been high in a bad-tempered affair which saw Posh midfielder Grant McCann shown a straight red card and County's Ricky Ravenhill later receiving his marching orders for two yellow cards.
An FA statement read: "Following incidents in the fixture between the two sides at London Road on 28 September 2010, The FA have charged both clubs with failure to ensure its players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and/or refrained from provocative behaviour; failure to ensure its players and/or officials conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and/or refrained from violent and/or threatening and/or provocative behaviour.
"Meanwhile, Peterborough official Ben Mackenzie and Notts County official Mark Draper have been charged separately with violent conduct relating to one of the incidents in the same fixture.
"Under The FA's new fast-track procedures all parties have until 4pm on 5 October to respond."
