Alan Lee was afforded the time and space to bundle in a close-range equaliser from a corner to infuriate Ferguson.
He said: "It's another soft goal which has cost us the match. Everyone has a player at set pieces and one of our players has lost theirs and it's so simple.
"They are such easy goals and they are goals that we don't get at the other end, so that is the difference at the minute.
"But we are still only nine points behind West Brom and results will come. You may think I'm mad to even think like that but I will always look up the table."
