Crawley kid seals Posh switch
The 18-year-old, who has signed a two-year deal, follows former Crawley team-mate Danny Mills to London Road as Posh continue their policy of plucking promising young players from non-league.
Ferguson told the club's official website: "Romone is similar to Danny, he is one for the future. He trained with us on Monday and did very well.
"He is a good young footballer and fits in with the policy of bringing youngsters into the football club with potential. Hopefully he will improve with us.
"Both Danny and Romone are good, exciting players, but I am not going to put too much pressure on them because they are definitely for the future."
