Contrite Ferguson issues apology

Ferguson was reported to the FA by match official Graham Horwood during Posh's 3-2 defeat to West Brom at London Road on August 18. Speaking to the Peterborough Evening Telegraph, Ferguson confessed: "I admit I lost my head after the game and I shouldn't have done. Referees are only human after all and they make mistakes. "I have pleaded guilty and I have asked for a personal hearing so that I can apologise. It probably won't be enough to save me from a ban. "Normally I am very calm, but I have to be aware of my responsibilities at all times," he added.
