The 23-year-old Chatham-born player is believed to be the mystery man national team boss Burley wants to add to his squad for Wednesday night's B international against Northern Ireland.[LNB]The Scottish Football Association were today hoping to confirm Boyd's eligibility via his Glasgow-born grandfather.[LNB]Boyd, dubbed 'The White Pele' by Posh fans, said in the Scottish Sun: "I'd jump at the chance of playing international football.[LNB]"Obviously, England is not very realistic for me. So yes, I'd be more than happy to join up with the Scotland squad.[LNB]"I still haven't heard anything official. But I'd be happy to play for Scotland."[LNB]Burley yesterday selected a 17-man squad for next week's match at Broadwood, which included a number of uncapped players.[LNB]Among the new faces are Kilmarnock midfielder Craig Bryson, West Brom's Graham Dorrans and Hamilton defender Brian Easton.[LNB]Bryson told the Daily Record: "I've been called up for the Under-19s and the 21s but only got eight minutes on the pitch from both games.[LNB]"Hopefully, I can do all right this time. It's great to be called up to the B squad for the first time and even though it is a patched-up squad, I'm just very happy to be there. It's great to know the national manager thinks you have been doing well."[LNB]Dorrans said: "The only thing better than this is actually getting picked to play in the first team. I'm looking to push on and I want to cement my place in the first team at West Brom before I start looking at the Scotland first team."[LNB]Easton said: "My dad was really chuffed. He's a massive Scotland fan, we all are, so it was great to tell him I was in the B team. He was buzzing.[LNB]"It only took a few minutes before the texts started flying. I think my dad spent the day telling everyone about his boy."[LNB][LNB][LNB]
