Boyd: Blame players for Cooper sack

01 February 2010 16:39
Cooper left London Road on Monday morning after winning just one of his 13 games in charge and Boyd believes that the players must take their share of the responsibility.[LNB]Boyd told the club's official website: "It's a massive shock to us all. We only found out as we were leaving training. Results haven't been good but nobody expected the gaffer to get the sack.[LNB]"The buck stops with us. The players are the ones who go out on the pitch looking for results and they haven't been up to scratch.[LNB]"We knew that the pressure was starting to build up on the gaffer but it's still a shock that he has gone.[LNB]"We need to change things around on the pitch starting on Saturday but the team spirit is still there. We still firmly believe that we can get off the bottom of the league and there is still time for us to stay up."[LNB][LNB]
