Partick Thistle's new management duo of Gerry Britton and Derek Whyte have decided to offer Adrian Madaschi a deal with the club until the end of the season.
The Australian defender was brought to Firhill in October by former Jags manager Gerry Collins but his contract was due to end on Wednesday.
"Derek and Gerry have made a big impression. Everyone in the dressing room is very pleased with the appointments," Madaschi told the club's official website.
"We get a lot of encouragement in training and everyone is getting stuck in.
"They give you encouragement to try different things and that has spread to those even outside the first team so that is a very positive thing."
Britton and Whyte have also decided to bring midfielder Andy Gibson back from his loan spell with Stirling Albion to bolster their squad but have released Fabrice Moreau after a short trial with the SPL strugglers.
